*** Hello all,
Building on our experience running the LearnLab Summer School workshop last year, we are offering our 2024 Summer School on Smart Tutoring Software using CTAT in Zürich, Switzerland. It will take place from Monday, August 5, to Friday, August 9, 2024. This summer school is a collaboration of the Zürich University of Teacher Education (PHZH), Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), and the ETH Zürich.
During this Summer School, you will learn concepts of intelligent tutoring systems. You will work on your own project in your area of interest to create a prototype tutoring system. You will learn to use CTAT (Cognitive Tutor Authoring Tools) developed by researchers at CMU.
CTAT was developed for non-programmers and for programmers. That’s why we offer two tracks. There is no programming experience required when using behavior graphs in track one. If you can already program, you can dive into using Nools.js to build so-called rule-based tutors in track two.
You will be mentored by experts from CMU (who developed CTAT) and PHZH. The Summer School will primarily take place in a stunning setting at Schloss Au on the Au peninsula in Lake Zürich.

We hope to see you in Zürich!
